Students of the University of Puerto Rico - Rio Piedras participated of the CSAW'2014 capture the flag competition.
Students from the Computer Science department of the University of Puerto Rico - Rio Piedras participated in the 2014 Cyber Security Awareness Week CSAW'2014 capture the flag qualifier competition (CTF).
The CSAW CTF, is a competition designed for undergraduate students who are trying to break into cyber security, and this is the second year that UPRRP students participate. The UPRRP ranked in the top 100 students which is a good score considering the UPRRP CS department did not have Cybersecurity related course previous to Fall 2014.
This year the UPRRP CS department got an award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop Cybersecurity research and education at the UPRRP.
